After Investigating other savings plans, a series of oon- ferenooa were held with the Savings Banks .Vssoclatlon and a comprehen¬ sive plan was, worked out, resulting in what i.s believed to be the most exten¬ sive application ever made of an indus¬ trial savings plan.
Tho essence of this plan is to offer each cniployee the opportunity to save through a written authorization to his employer, who will deduct from his pay a specilic sum each pay day and pla(» 11 to the employees credit in his own name in a savings bank. Employees may at any time make supplem^nial deposllH, increase, decrease or alto¬ gether'suspend the amount of thelr'de- ductioiis, therel^' surrounding the plan with the greatesfcjamount of freedom.
