In Ilempatead, tho American Legion and O.A.R. will join in the memorial day ceremonleii. The observance will begin Hunday evening at 7:4.'> p. m. in the Hempstead Methodist Church, where the Rev. Saul O. Curtlse, pastor will make an appropriate address.
Monday morning, assemble will be blown at 9*16 a. ra. Members of the O.A.R., Legion, Junior Order of Am¬ erican Mechanics and others who in¬ tends to iiarticipate, will gather between Fulton Park and the railroad station. They will proceed from there to Green¬ field cemetery where short exercises will be held. Upon returning to the armory in Prospect street, the Woman's Relief Corps will serve refreshments.

The American Legion requests that men who have uniforms wear them, but states that "civlos" will be wel¬ come. The colors presented to the Post by Mrs. Frod C. Story will be carried jtor the first time.
The Elks Band have donated its ser¬ vices and will play for the parade and ceremonies. The Legion has arranged to take flowers to the various cemeteries and hospitals (birlng the day and will have automobiles for that i)nrpt>se. It la requested that anyone who desires to have flowers sent to cemeteries, leave them at Post headquarters, I.O. O.F. Hall, Merrick road. George Chris¬ tie will be in charge ot the automobiles. Twenty or more are needed for the day. Those who will offer machines to the legion for this use will please notify George Christie before Sunday night.
