Headquarters, East Shore Drive
and Merrick Road in Massapequa,
New York, in said Fire District
on the 28th day of October, 1968
at 8: 00 o'clock P. M., Eastern
Standard Time, there were:

The following resolution was
offered by Commissioner Feldeisen
who moved its adoption, seconded
by Commissioner Hund, to
wit:

AND APPARATUS IN AND FOR
THE MASSAPEQUA FIRE DISTRICT

Section 1 The purchase of the
following items of equipment including
apparatus to be used in
connection therewith, for fire
fighting purposes for the Massapequa
Fire District in the Town of
Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New
York are hereby authorized:
( a) Three ( 3) trucks of 1,250
gallon per minute Diesel engine
power pumpers at a maximum
estimated cost of $ 145,000.00.
Section 2 The maximum estimated
cost of the aforesaid items
is $ 145,000.00, and the plan for
the financing thereof consists of
the expenditure of $ 117,000.00
hereby appropriated I therefor
from the Capital Reserve Fund
for Equipment, and the expenditure
of $ 28,000.00 to be appropriated
from the 1969 budget for
said Fire District.
- Sgfitifin_ 3. lt is hereby determined
that the period of probable
usefulness of the aforesaid
specific object or purpose is ten
( 10) years, pursuant to subdivision
27 of paragraph a of Section
11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
- Section 4 This resolution shall
become effective thirty ( 30) days
after its adoption subject to a
permissive referendum.
Section. 5 Within ten ( 10) days
after the adoption by the Board
of Fire Commissioners of this
resolution, the Fire District Secretary,
in the same manner as
provided for notice of annual
election, shall post and publish
a notice which shall set forth
the date of the adoption of the r e solution
and contain an abstract
of such resolution concisely stating
the purposes and effect
thereof, and the Fire District
LEGAL NOTICE
Secretary is further directed to
publish notice of this resolution
in the newspaper officially
designated as such by the Board
of Fire Commissioners.
The question of the adoption of
the foregoing resolution was duly
put to vote on roll call, which
resulted as follows:

whole of said original so far as
the same relates to the subject
matters therein referred to.
