Formation of a Frank Tartiglia
Assistance Fund was announced
this week with Sherman Pirotin
chairman and Mayor Andrew A.
Senese as honorary chairman.
The fund will help the family
of seven year old Frank Tartiglia
who was badly beaten last
week by a 15 year old juvenile,
whose name is being withheld
by police due to Ms age. Seventh
precinct police stated that
Tartiglia was struck^ about the
head and body with clenched fists
and feet when he was attacked on
the front lawn of his residence.
Judi Geiger of the new Westerner
Restaurant on the corner of Main
and ConklinStreets, Farmingdale
says, " The second cup of coffee
is on me". This is Westerner's
slogan according to " Tommy"
the proprietor. Tommy is quite a
promoter having held a weekly
radio show at his discoteque in
Uniondale. He is going to give
Farmingdale six hours of radio
time on station WGLI on Monday,
May 1. He invites all merchants,
and public officials to comedown
to his restaurant from 10 a. m. to
4 p. m. to be interviewed. The
Farmingdale Observer is the coordinator.

the post now held by John D.
Woodward, who is not seeking

sponsored by the St. James Rosary Society
and presented at their annual dinner held Thursday
night at the Holiday Manor. The Fashion Show
was presented by Trans World Airlines with Mary
Gordon as Coordinator and by Bee Line Fashions
with OianneCalvagna, Coordinator. Coiffures were
all created by Coiffures by Chris. The chairlady of
the event was Joyce Flanders and the co- chairiady
was Helen Karpowicz.
Fashions were presented by models representing the
various countries as follows: Ireland, Ethel Walsh;
British Isles, Hefen Neelan: Germany, Christine
Daly; Switzerland, Eileen Harnet; Portugal, Marge
Hammer; Spain, Ginny Hulka; Italy, Rosemary
