Over 250 boys and girls participated
in the Fifth Annual
Farmingdale Youth Council
Physical Fitness meet at Farmingdale
High School.
Main Street school amassed
315 points to win the elementary
school division for the fifth
straight year. In the junior high
school division. Weldone Howitt
J. H. S. with 496 points repeated
last years performance.
Robin Jaisle of Howitt Weldone
Jr. High School took first place
honors for the fifth consecutive
year.

Arrest Youth On Main Street
For Possession Of Marijuana
16 year old Copiague youth juana and a corn cob pipe, when
arrested was on Main Street, he was aDDroached bv the rx>-
Farmingdale, on charges of possession
of marijuaha.
According to Nassau County
police, the accused was attempting
to throw out of the car
window 118.5 grains of mari-he
approached by police.
He was jailed in lieu of $ 5,000
bail after a hearing last Friday.
The case will be heard this Friday,
March 10.

Egg Hunt
The Kiwanis Club of Farming-dale
will hold their Eighth annual
Easter egg roll at the Bethpage
State Park on Palm Sunday March
19th at 2 p. m. Prizes will be
awarded to the winners in each
age group.
The Easter Bunny will be on
hand to greet youngsters with
free candies.
Dr. Walter Strubel, chairman
of the event, announced that in
the event of bad weather, the egg
roll will be postponed to Easter
Sunday, March 26.
