R R STATION, FARMINC. DAI E. L I N Y
The original Long Island Railroad station in Farmingdale.
This picture was lent to The Farmingdale Observer by Norman
Sullivan who also lent a deed that his father had given the LIRR
for the land. It was dated April 18, 1895 and read: " This Indenture
was made between Amos C. Sullivan and Mary V.
Sullivan, his wife, of the village of Farmingdale, County of
Queens ( before there was a Nassau County) and the Long Island
Railroad Company of the State of New York, in consideration
for the sum of one dollar. Sullivan's father also donated the land
for the original Main Street School.
