Plans are being made for the dedication of the new Farmingdale Fire District
substation which was recently completed at Merritt and Beverly Roads.
The facility, which will primarily serve the homes west of Woodward Parkway,
will also be called upon to service all of the unincorporated areas of
Farmingdale when necessary. Dedication is scheduled for late in October.
Mrs. Deanin Named to National
Board of Pioneer Women
Mrs. Sony a Deanin of Farming -
dale, has been named a member
* of the National Board of Pioneer
Women, the Women's Labor
Zionist Organization of America,
at their 20th Biennial National
Convention held in Chicago this
week.
The Organizations supports almost
half of all the social services
to the women and children of
Israel; in the United States, the
network of 500 Pioneer Women
Clubs and Councils is active in
social action, Jewish education
and cultural and youth programs.

St. Kilian School resumed classes

Among the innovations begun
at the school was the addition of
a new reading program, the r e sumption

which is scheduled to arrive
shortly.

Thomas Hubbard, of the United
States Army, and son of Mr.

couple plan to be married at
Grace Lutheran Church,
Livingston, New Jersey, on Sunday,
October 15th.
Miss Schwab, who was graduated
from the Fashion Institute
of Technology, New York, is an
interior designer with A. R. Ba-rone
Interiors, East Orange.
Hubbard graduated from Friends'
Academy and attended Stevens
Institute of Technology. His military
training was received at
Fort Gordon, Georgia, and his
tour of duty with the Da Nang
Signal Corps Battalion, Vietnam,
will be completed on October
1st.

Readies For Retreat
The Couples Club of the Methodist
Church in Farmingdale will
conduct their Annual Retreat from
noon on Saturday September 23
to noon on Sunday September 24
at Camp Quinipet on Shelter Island.
The theme of the retreat
is Man's Search for a Meaningful
Faith.
The leaders of the retreat are

Mr. and Mrs. George Tilroe.

worship on Sunday and Preach
the sermon, " The Skeptical Man

from the Lincoln Center for the
Performing Arts. They will attend
performances by the New
York Philharmonic, the Repertory

The awards are given to 1000
students each year to provide an
opportunity for outstanding high
school seniors to add the performing

Francis L. Bagli, Assistant
Manager of the Manhasset office
of Hempstead Bank, has been
named Operations Officer. Bagli
is a graduate of Loyola College
in Baltimore, Maryland, and has
attended the American Institute of
Banking. He joined Hempstead
Bank in 1963 as a management
trainee.
At present, Bagli is a member
of the Citizens Advisory Committee
to the Farmingdale School
Board and a member of the Manhasset
