Bazaar Will Benefit Building Fund
New merchandise, refreshments
and surprises will be featured
at the first Bazaar to be
held at the Farmingdale Jewish
Center on the weekend of December
9th, it was announced by
Aaron Schaeffer, President.
Charles Rubenstein, the Chairman
of the event indicated
visitors will have an opportunity
to " do their holiday shopping
early.' In addition, a well known
hand writing analyst will be available
for a limited number of free
analyses.
Proceeds from the Bazaar will
go toward the center's new building
fund.
The Baaar will be open to the
public and admission is free.
The ba/ aar hours for Saturday
evening will be from 9 to 12
p. m. and on Sunday afternoon
from 1 to 8 p. m.

For her devotion and loyalty
to the International Order of the
King's Daughters and Sons Mrs.
Ray C. Alger of Baylis Road,
Melville was paid tribute by the
Long Island District at a buffet
supper at the Hearthstone Restaurant.
The members of her own
circle, The Alpha Kappa Delta,
were the hostesses. Mrs. Halsey
B. Knapp acting as mistress of
ceremonies and her co- chairman,
Mrs. Fred Schmid, presented
a gift of pearls as an expression
of appreciation.
The International Order was
represented by Mrs. Arthur Se-cor,
office manager at the Order's
headquarters at 475 Riverside
Drive, New York City. There
were 50 guests present including
past and present District Officers
4,000 employees of Republic Aviation Division of Fairchild
Hiller Corporation attended ceremonies in which the Air Force
presented Republic with a Craftsmanship Award, highest honor
attainable under the Air Force Industrial Zero Defects program.
The award recognizes sustained outstanding achievement in
production reliability, product quality and error- free workmanship.
