(b) No person shall stable cattle or yard swine within One Hundred (100) feet of any dwelling house, without a permit from the Board of Health or the Health Offlcer.
(c) Every cesspool or privy vault shall be covered In auch a manner that moaqultoes or flies shall not have access thereto, nor offensive odors eFcape therefrom.
(d) No cesspool ahall be allowed to overflow upon the aurface of the ground. So cesspool or privy shall be constructed or maintained within forty (40) feet of a running brook, well, stream or tide water, unle** of a water-tlcht construction. No ce**- pool material *hall be flushed or flooded into aay lake, stream or brook or tide water.

' Ev¬ ery owner, lessee, tenant, and occu¬ pant of any stall, stable or apart¬ ment in the village, in which any horse, cattle or other animal shall be kept or of any "Place in which ma¬ nure, stable lefuse or any liquid dis¬ charge of such animal shall collect or accumulate, shall cause such ma¬ nure, stable refuse or liquid to be promptly and properly removed
therefrom, and shall at all tlmea keep such atalla, stables or apart¬ ments and the drains, yards and ap- purtances thereof, in a clean and sanitary condition, so that no offen¬ sive odors shall be allowed to escape therefrom every auch stable and the yards and appurtenancea thereof shall be connected with a ceaspool unless otherwise permitted by the Board of Health or Health Offlcer. Every auch owner, lessee, tenant, or occupant from May let to November lat of each year shall cause all man¬ ure and stable refuse to be placed In a covered vault or pit and be remov¬ ed twice a week from auch stable or yard, unleaa the same are each day pressed In baled boxes or barrels and adequately screened or otherwise protected or covered that flies cannot have access thereto and offensive odors cannot escape therefrom, un¬ less otherwise permitted liy the Board of Health or Health Offlcer.
Any person or persons, corporation or corporations violating any of the provisiona of this section ahall he liable to the penalty of Ten ($10) Dollara for each offence and shall al¬ so be liable for the expense of the abatement of any conditions existing in violation of any of the provisions of this section.

Hense Refuse, Gnrbapce, etc. No person or corporation shall remove any swill, garbage, refu.se, ashes, nlght.soil, manure and stable refu.se In vehicles or cart or transport the .same within the Village limits with¬ out a permit from the Board of Health or Health Offlc.er. Every such vrhirle shall have a permit from the Health Officer who shall prescribe the kind and manner of vehicle to b*" used, and aald permit shall be used in accordonce with the terma thereof and not otherwise. All such vehicles removing manure or nightsoll muat be loaded within the premises and not upon the street unless otherwise permitted by the Roard of Health or Health Officer, and shall be removed from auch premises In a manner not in any way offensive or so as to cause a nuisance. All manure, ref¬ use, swill, nightsoll, garbage, aahea, when transported through the
streets, of the village muat be cov¬ ered and secured so that no pari thereof .ahall" fall upon the streets oi be released In the air so as to pre¬ vent the escape of offensive odors, and the same shall not be loaded or deposited within the Village except upon the conditions of a permit from the Board of Health or Health Officer and at such place as shall be approv¬ ed by the Board of Heolth and to 'which a permit in writing for such uses shall have previously been granted by said Board.
Any person or peraons. or corpora¬ tion or corporations violating any of the provisiona of this aection ahall be liable to a penalty of Ten ($10) Dol¬ lara for each offence and In addition thereto ahall. In the discretion of the Board of Health, forfeit any permit or license heretofore given to auch offending party.
RBGtJLATION XI.
Diseased or ilisabled Aoimaiii. No diseased or disabled animals shall be brought, conveyed or harbored in the Village of Freeport. No diseased or disabled animal ahall be*- left exposed upon any highway. Owners of ani¬ mals which die or may be killed, ex¬ cept those alaughtered for food, shall bury or cause to be burled within twenty-four hours after Ita death or after notification of Its death. All animals shall be buried at least three feet under ground. Dead animals not known to have an owner shall be burled at tho direction of the Health Officer.
Any person violating any of the provialons of thi.s section, shall he liable to a penally of Ten ($10) Dol¬ lara for each nffenro.

No person or cor¬ poration shall erect or maintain any manufactory or place of business dangerous to life or detrimental to health. or where unwholesome, of¬ fensive or deleteploua odors, gas, smoke, depoalt or exhalations are generated, without the permit of the Board of Health and nil such catab- llshmenta shall be kept clean and wholesome so as not to bo offensive or prejudicial to public health, nor shall any offensive or deleterious waste, substance. gas, tar, sludge refuse or Injurious matter be allowed to accumulate upon the premises or be thrown or allowed to run Into any PMblic waters, stream, water-course, street or public place. And every per¬ son or company conducting auch man¬ ufacture or business shall use the best approved and all reasonable means to prevent the escape of smoke, gases and odors, and to protect the health and safety of all operatives employ¬ ed therein. Any violation of any of the provisions of this section ahall subject the rffendlng party to a pen¬ alty of Twenty-flve ($26) DoUars for each offence. _

Any vio¬ lation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall subject the odending party to a penalty of One Hundred ($100) Dollars.
RKt^ULATION XVII.
Infectious Ulseaaea or Animal* No animal affected with an infectious or contagious disease shall be brought or kept within the limits of thia vil¬ lage, except by the permission of the I5t)ard of Health and the bodies of animals dead of audi dlseaae, or killed on account thereof, shall not be buried within Five Hundred (500) feet of any residence, nor disposed of otherwise than as the said Board of Health or Ita Health Offlcer shall di¬ rect.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section is liable to tt penalty of Twenty-five ($25) Dol¬ lars.
REGVLATION XVIII,
Public Spitting, No person shall spit upon the sidewalk or crosswallc of any pubiic street, avenue, park, public square or place in the village or upon the floor of any hall In any tenament house, which Is used In common by the tenants thereof, or upon the floor of any hall or lodging houae, which ia used in common by guests thereof or upon the floor of any theatre, schoolhouse, church, store, factory or any building, which is used In common by the public, or upon the fioor of any depot, station or upon the floor of any railroad car or public conveyance or upon the station platform of any railroad or other common carrier.
Any person violating any of the proviaiona of this aection is liable to a penalty of One Dollar ($1) for tbe first offence, and Five (6) Dollara for each repetition thereof.

Roles Governing Scavenger*, (a)
Muat hold a' permit or license from the Board of Health of the Village of Freeport.
(b) Mu.t give, a bond of One Hun¬ dred ($100) Dollars acceptable to the Board of Health.
(c) Must have water tight cover¬ ed wagona.
(d) Must obtain a written per¬ mit at the Village Offlce for each premises cleaned and pay at tbe rate of twenty-flve centa (25cent8) per load for dumping. Payment shall be made after each Job and no permit will be issued for other work If scav¬ engers are in arreara.
(e) Must not clean in business section between the hours of 6 a. m. and 9 p. m., unless by written per¬ mission of the Health Offlcer.
(f) Must dump all night soil on bridge provided for that purpose at dumping grounds.
(g) Muat clean bridge after dump¬ ing each load.
(h) Muat keep grounda surround¬ ing the cesspool or privy being emp¬ tied In a clean and aanltary condit¬ ion.
(1) Muat empty contents of priviea tn separate vault provided at the dumping grounds.
(J) Must obey all future rules or orders made or given by the Board of Health or Health Officer or his assistants.
(k) Any scavenger violating any of tliese rules will have his license revoked and forfeit his bond.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section la liable to a. penalty of Twenty-flve {$2r)> Dol¬ lars for each offence and shall also lit the discretion of the Board of Ttenlth forfeit any license or permit heretofore granted.
