On Sunday two weeks ago three autos started for Camp Nassau in the Adirondacks. In the party were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foster, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Foster and children, Mr, and Mrs. George Hicks and young daugh¬ ter and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Combs.

Fire Department held Auguat 9 they decided to run a voting contest. The object of the contest will be to,deter¬ mine the moot popular lady in the town. Beautiful prises will be awarded.
The Y. M. I. C. B. B. team will play at Bellmore next Sunday. Come one, come all, and see a real game of ball.
Charles Smith of this vilage claims to be the hest potato grower on the south side of Long Island.
Mrs. George Denholm of Woodlawn, N. Y., is the guest of her sister. Miss Katherine Ling.
The Girls Friendly held three spec¬ ial meetings this week in preparation for the fair which will be held next week, the 17th and ISth, at which they will have charge of the fancy table.
Rev. Arthur Jones of Gibson, Pa., preached in the Methodist church last Sunday morning. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Jonee sang a duet.
The Social Society met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. MlHs on Friday evening.
A pleasant outing was enjoyed on Saturday last when Mr. and Mrs. Edw. Mansfleld Invited a few friends for a saii on the Great South Bay. Among those present were Mrs. Nel¬ son Verity and the Misses Mauretta Haff, Sarah Mansfield and Mauretta Ketcham.
Mrs. Frank Southard underwent an| operation in th^ Nassau hospital ah3f is improving greatly. During the ao- sence of Mrs. Southard, Mr. Southard has moved from the Baldwin cottage on Jackson street to Mr. Condit's on Seaman Neck avenue.
The Ocean House at High Hill Beach having entertained more guests than they could accommodate with rooms have had to rent the cottage Mauretta K., owned by Mrs. Louis Ketcham. After they vacate Mrs. J. T. Powell and a few friends wlll oc¬ cupy the cottage.
M. Walter Haff, a great soft crab¬ ber, spent Sunday on the Great South Bay. Upon returning instead of hav¬ ing soft crabs he displayed a few hard cftxes. They may have changed on his way home.
The annual fair of the M. E. church will he held in the Y. M. L C. hall, August 26 and 27. An entertainment will be held the last night.
The Sunday school excursion of the M. E. Sunday school to High Hill Beach will be held on August 16. Boats will leave Captain Captain Haff's dock at 9.30.
Miss Elenor Vassalo gave a week¬ end party on Saturday last. Among those present were: Misses Marian Kilian, Anna Hawkins, Lillian Broth¬ erhood, Virginia Mansfleld, Mr. Harry Graef, Edw. Mills and Allen Gard¬ ener.
