A big patriotic entertainment will be held at the Royaf Theatre, Koose¬ veit. this evening (May 18) at 8.15 sharp; four flrst clans vaudeville acts, seven reels of picttires, including the wonderful Sarah Bernhardt in "Moth¬ ers of France." A patriotic address on preparedner.-. will be given. The proceeds of this show will be a gift from the town of Roosevelt to the Hempstead Red Cross Chapter. Tic¬ kets, 25 cents; children 15 cents. Everyone should help and attend this affair.
A big show, consisting of vaudeville acts and the^ve-reel feature, ''The Cheat." was given on Monday even¬ ing at the Royal Theatre under the auspices of the Roosevelt Athletic As¬ sociation. A verv large number were present, and the vaudeville was spe¬ cially flne. Mr. Chattaway. imitating a coon, played seversil old time se¬ lections on a banjo, and was very amusing.
