content on an average of

Witihout any doubt, it was one of the most outstanding successes
ever presented by the people of Precporl. It was poclced with appeal

COMPLETES BOND PLACEMENT
$5,350,000 to Finance New '
High and Elennentary Schools
The Board of EMucation cf the Freeport School District expressed
-gratification at the successful completition of the Dlstriet's long-term
capital program today. The District was able to place $5,350,0<IO's of
Btods to finance the new High School, which is in operation, and the
Leo F. Glbljm Elementary SchooJ, which will shortly be completed.

Bank with the Long Island Trust
Compan.v was approved by an overwhelming
majority of the .stock-holdei's

of the Lon& Lsland Trust Company
shares were * voted in favor of the
merger. The announcement wa.s
made by Adam Muller and Pi-ed-erick
Hainfeld Jr.. presidents of
the two banks.
Before the merger becoines effective,
approval must be received
from the New York State Banking
Department and the Boatil of Chiv-emors
of the Federal Reserve System.
Because of requirements <if
the new federal and state bankint;
laws, approval' is not expected until
January, 1961
The residents, the organizatians, the Chamber of Commerce, the
Freeport Merchants Association, the contributors and the participants
