Leo F. Othlyn has announced the retirement of Miss Helen E. Ross,
Principal of the "Columbui. Avenue School, and the appointment In her
place of Ml93. Frances, Buchanan, former Reading Supervisor in the
elementary schools.
A native'of Newburg, New York, Miss Ross was graduated from the
State Norrhal School at New l^ltz
and received her Bachelor's- and
Master's degrees from l*ew Yo*
University. She began her service
In Rreeport to 1921 as a first grade
