Nassau police
have released this
composite sketch
of a man involved
in an incident in
Baldwin.
Nassau police are investigating an unusual
incident that occurred in Baldwin on Monday
at 8:20 a.m.
According to detectives, an 11-year-old
girl was approached by a Hispanic or possi-bly
black man in the vicinity of Central
Avenue and Clinton Place. The man
attempted to persuade the victim to accom-pany
him.
The man is described as about 35 to 40 years
old, with bushy eyebrows, a birthmark or mole
next to his right eye and hair on his chin. The
man was driving a white van with damage to
the passenger side door and was last observed
northbound on Central Avenue.
Detectives are requesting anyone with infor-mation
regarding this incident to contact the
Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-
TIPS. All calls are confidential and all callers
will remain anonymous.
