Nicholas Bracco - on the move
by Laura Schofer
Nicholas Bracco of Freeport, our
2011 First Baby of the Year, is one year
old. He celebrated his first birthday on
January 2 at his grandparents' house,
surrounded by family and friends. "It
was a 'Yo Gabba, Gabba' themed
party," said Nicholas's dad, John
Bracco. "He watches the cartoon on
Nick Junior all the time. He just loves
the colors and the movement."
Seems like young Nicholas loves to
get around. According to Dad, "you
should see him move. He's really quick
and he loves to dance ... on his knees!"
Additionally, Nicholas is a New York
Rangers hockey fan, just like his dad.
"He has a miniature hockey stick and
slaps the puck when I tell him to
'shoot,'" said John.
On his birthday, Nicholas even wore a
New York Rangers jersey.
Nicholas loves to eat Cheerios and
just found a new sweet treat - Fruit
Loops. He is 24 pounds, 25 inches and
has blue eyes and sandy blond hair.
"He's great, very active," said Dad.
Luckily for his mom, Gina, Nicholas
is a good sleeper and "sleeps through
the night so my wife can finally get
some rest."
But watch out.
Nicholas just took his first steps. "He
walked on his birthday - four steps. Can
you believe it? My little guy is walking.
I'll never forget that," Dad gushed.
Happy Birthday, Nicholas!
