customers this dramatic
breakthrough in sqvines ease and
convenience.
Heralded as the card for
modern-day savers, the Prestige
Card has many built-in ad-vantages.
With a Prestige Card
account at Suburbia, there is no
longer any need for a passbook.
By just presenting the card,
deposits and withdrawals can be
made and checks can be cashed
at any of the Association's of-fices.
A unique feature of this "no
passbook" type of savings ac-count
is that depositors receive a
quarterly statement showing the
complete status of their accounts,
including all transactions and
interest (earned.
Robert J. Miller, Senior Vice
President and coordinator of the
Prestige program said, "The
advantages to savers of this type
program is possible only with the
use of a saver-card and
statement system. Inevitably,
this is the future trend of thrift
institutions. In keeping with
Suburbia's history of "first's",
we have introduced this program
for savers now".
The convenience of this card
has great appeal. Carried in a
wallet or card-case, it eliminates
the annoyance of forgotten
passbooks and the worry of
misplaced ones. It also speeds up
transactions as there is no need to
fill out deposit slips and a special
Prestige Card teller is on hand at
all of the offices.
Prestige Card accounts at
Suburbia earn 5.47% effective
annual yield on 5.25% a year from
Day of Deposit to Day of With-drawal.
Interest is compounded
daily, credited quarterly.
These convenient accounts are
now available in all Suburbia
offices in Garden City, Lynbrook,
South Huntington, Kings Park,
Patchogue, East Rockaway and
is planned for the soon to be
opened West Hempstead. In
addition, customers may save by
mail with great safety because
just the Prestige Card account
number is used on the mail-in
deposit slip.
