Flag Day For Eagles
Wesleyan University graduate, Brad Rogers of Cail Drive, East
Rockaway receives congratulations from Mayor Arnold White on his
selection to the United States Maccabiah Olympic team's basket ball
squad, which will represent the USA at the forthcoming world Mac-cabiah
games, in Israel, July 9th to the 19th. Brad, chosen as academic
all American Basketball, as well as to the All East ECAC Basketball
team, will join 175 athletes in 20 sports from the United States. Led by
Nat Holman **Mr. Basketball," who is president of the U.S. Committe
Sports for Israel, the sponsoring body for the USA team, the delegation
willleave J.F.Kennedy airport on July 5th Via El Al.
Flanking Brad and Mayor White are Jack Silverman of Wood-sburgh,
chairman of the 5 towns Maccabiah Committee, and Al.
Marcus, Cedarhurst, Secretary of the U.S. Committee sports for
Israel.

Committeemen on June 7th
elected Francis X. Butler of
Lynbrook Executive Member, to
.replace the retiring William
Mehlan.
Butler, a longtime Com-mitteeman
and former Zone
Leader, Promised a
reorganization of the Lynbrook
zone and urged the Com-mitteemen
to supplement their
confidence in him with some hard
efforts in the campaign.

Donald A. Reiter Ordained into Holy Ministry
Donald A. Reiter, C.R.M. was
ordained into the Holy Ministry
on June 10, 1973 at his home
parish, Grace Lutheran Church,
400 Hempstead Avenue,
Malverne, N.Y., becoming the
sixth son- of the congregation to
enter the holy ministry within the
last decade. Both Pastors of
Grace took part in the service -
Pastor John G. Carajanes as the
Ordinator, and Pastor Thomas
W. Eifert as Preacher. The Rev.
August F. Bobzin assisted.
The ordained is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Philip Reiter, formerly
of Valley Stream. Born in
Brooklyn and raised in Valley
Stream, Pastor Reiter went on to
graduate from Concordia
Preparatory School and Con-cordia
College, Ft. -Wayne, In-diana
in 1969. He served
Ascension Lutheran Church in
North Olmsted, Ohio as Vicar in
1971-72. He received his M. Div.
from Concordia Seminary, St.
Louis on May 25 of this year.
Married to the former Elaine
Stoddard of Schenectady, they
will be living in Pittsburgh, Pa.
where Pastor Reiter has ac-cepted
a Call to service as Pastor
of Immanuel Lutheran Church,
and will be installed there on July
22, 1973.

" GRADUATION
The graduation of nineteen 8th
grade students of Grace
Lutheran School of Malverne will
take place on June 20,1973 at 8:00
P.M. This will be the third 8th
grade graduation in the school
since the school expanded in 1970.
Miss Lynn Offermanri, a
graduate of Grace Lutheran
School in 1965 and presently
attending the State University in
Oswego, N.Y. will be the guest
speaker.
Valedictorian fol* the class is
Wayne Benzing of Malverne, and
Paul Hutter of Lynbrook is the
Salutatorian.
At the last meeting of the Lynbrook Republican Club until after the
summer, we had as a guest a member of the Town of Hempstead
Recreation & Parks Dept., Mr. Joseph Margiotta Jr. at the mike,
showed a film on all recreational facilities in the town and answered
many questions. Seated at table William McGrane, Treasurer & Bill
Fabrizio President.

Recent art show of A vocational Program at Cerebral Palsy Center for
Living "was a successful endeavor to raise funds for severely han-dicapped
group's project of helping" the less fortunate of the Nassau
