School Dist. #20
Budget Approved
By Annette L/ng
School District #20 voters ap-proved
a new school budget of
$5,732,782 in a rather close vote
of 1606 FOR and 1501 AGAINST
the budget submitted by the School
Board. The incumbent candidate
for the School Board were re-e-lected
with the following totals:
Bernadine Klein of Sunrise Drive,
Lynbrook, a total of 1986 votes
and William Melendez of Elm
St., Lynbrook with a total of
1987 votes.
Superintendent of Schools Don-ald
Cosgrove was very pleased
with the vote approving the bud-get
and is looking forward to a
successful year with the needs of
the students of School District
#20 foremost in his mind as
usual. Mrs. Klein and Mr. Mal-endez
have served on the School
Board with distinction and their
reelection assures the Board of
retaining two dedicated people
for another term.
