WHEREAS, the County of Nassau is proud to recognize those
outstanding individuals and businesses which have rendered
significant contributions for the enhancement of our region and the
betterment of our residents; and
WHEREAS, the East Rockaway/Lynbrook Observer has proven
itself worthy of public acclaim, providing the residents of its
respective Villages with fair and accurate reports of interests to
the community, and in doing so has gained the respect and admiration
of its readers; and
WHEREAS, under the direction and leadership of Publisher
Hank Bialick and Editor John Hambel, the East Rockaway/Lynbrook
Observer has worked diligently for the betterment of the people it
serves, truly acting as their voice in the community; and
WHEREAS, the County of Nassau is proud to Join with the
residents of East Rockaway and Lynbrook as they pay tribute to Hank
Bialick and John Hambel for their contribution to the quality of
life in the local communities and throughout Nassau County;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Thomas S. Gulotta, Nassau County
Executive, do hereby award this citation to
HANK BIALICK AND JOHN HAMBEL
in celebration of their Fifth Anniversary of ownership of the
Observer, and in fitting recognition of their continued, dedicated
and exemplary service to the community;
