North Garden Dedicated
Principal Nola Bacci
offered her appreciation for
the "overwhelming support"
of Dr. Seiderman and
members of the Board for
the "beautiful garden at
West End." She said the
garden symbolized the
school where the flowers,
like the children, would get
the environment and nour-ishment
for healthy growth.
Ms. Bacci added acco-lades
for all performers,
Mrs. Candelaria, Mrs. Tai
and Mr. Kenneth Bartlett
for their work in preparing
the gardens and to Mr.
Cinque of Alma's Garden
Center for his "generous
d o n a t i o n of flowering
plants."
West End Elementary
School dedicated its North
Garden to Superintendent
of Schools Bern Seiderman
and the Lynbrook Board of
Education. In special
ceremonies on Grandpar-ents
and Friends' Day,
hundreds assembled to hear
young Jonathan Podlaski
make the presentation'.

The plot of "Phantoms of
the Grist Mill" centers on a
modern-day threat to the
future existence of the Grist
Mill as we know it, and how
Bt
the "phantoms" from our
past save the day by "freez-ing"
the villagers and having
them experience a vaguely
historical "dream" of the
past to make them appre-ciate
their heritage. See the
"Phantoms"!
