attend the Gala Alumni
Homecoming Party at the
Main Street Firehouse on
S a t u r d a y e v e n i n g,
November 7, are urged to
telephone Genie Kubat
(599-5627) to make their
reservations, even if they
plan to pay at the door.
"Please phone in your res-ervations,"
said Kubat, Res-ervations
Coordinator for
the Alumni association, "so
that we can make our final
food arrangements as accu-rately
as possible."
Homecoming festivities
on November 7 will begin
with the annual Homecom-ing
Football Game at I p.m.
scheduled for Hermanson
Field at East Rockaway
High School with all game
proceeds going to the Louis
Cosenza Memorial Fund.
The Rocks, with a current
record of three wins, one
loss, and one tie, will be
playing against Manhasset.
Next comes the Home-coming
Party at the reno-vated
Main Street Firehouse
in East Rockaway starting
at 5 p.m. and ending ??? D-J
Ed the Head will spin your
favorite platters, and a hot
buffet and an open bar (5-9
p.m.) is included in the $22
per person donation.
A raffle offers prizes of a
basket of cheer and dinner
for two at such fine local res-taurants
as the East Point
Inn, the New Porthole, and
the Union Avenue Cafe for
$1 per chance. In addition,
the winner of the 1987
"Alumnus of the Year"
Award will be announced
d u r i n g the e v e n i n g 's
festivities.

urged Homecoming chair-man
Ed Carey. "Catch the

last November, you
know the feeling. If you
missed last November, don't

Academy Nominees
Congressman Norman F.
Lent (R-4th CD) today
announced that applications
•for a nomination to the Uni-ted
States military acade-mies
will be available to all
Fourth Congressional Dis-trict
High School Seniors
until November 15, 1987.
A request for nomination
must be submitted before
the November 15th dead-line.
Upon receipt of all
requested information, an
applicant will be scheduled
for a personal interview.
Candidates will be evaluated
on the basis of academic per-formance,
leadership abil-ity,
and service to the com-munity.
Nominees will be
notified of their nomination
by early 1988, and if
appointed, will enter the
Class of 1992 at the United
States military academy.
This process is open to
individuals at least 17 but
not yet 22 years of age on
July 1st of the year of
entrance to the academy.
Individuals who are inter-ested
in seeking a nomina-tion
