the public to its annual Flag
Day Service, to be held
Sunday, June 14, at six
o'clock. Thirty-two individ-ual
organizations from the
local communities will par-ticipate
in the ceremony, led

Flag Day, and the historic
service is filled with patriotic
sentiment and national
pride appropriate for the
occasion. Those attending
will certainly come away
with a feeling of pride for
our Nation and all its
accomplishments.
Guest speaker Gethicker
is the first woman to address
Lynbrook Lodge's Flag Day
Service in the lodge's sixty-two
year history. The ser-geant

New York. She is one of
only two girls to compete in
Babe Ruth League Baseball.
Upon completion of boot

Missing
Girl
Returns
Kim Lazarus of Lyn-brook,
who was reported
missing on March 30,
returned home last week
after phoning her mother
from Texas that she had
"sorted things out."
The object of an intensive
search by area police and
detectives, which included
widespread distribution of
posters and pamphlets, Kim
called her mother, Joan to
say that she was fine and
wanted to come home. Joan
Lazarus and her daughter
Jennifer, flew to Texas and
brought Kim home.
A Korean teenager, Kim
was adopted by the Lazarus
family more than 10 years
ago. She hitchhiked to
Texas, where she was
befriended by a young
woman in Fort Hood.

to use, can also be very dan-gerous.
Some important
facts that every gas barbecue
owner should know are:
1. A liquid petroleum gas
(LPG) cylinder has the
explosive force of several
sticks of dynamite.
2. Never transport an
LPG cyclinder in the trunk
of a car. A filled tank should
be in an upright position on
the floor of the vehicle with
the windows open.
3. Check all valve and
hose connections with soapy
water to locate any leaks.
4. Never allow children to
use a gas grille.
5. Nassau County Fire
Prevention Ordinance #344-
1979, Article VI, states that
no containers of LPG are to
be stored in an occupied
