A Public Hearing was
held earlier in the Board
Meeting to clarify the provi-sions
of the Local Law,
Chapter 225-14 E regarding
frontage of parcels of prop-erty.
The change was voted
upon on August 4, 1986
requiring the footage to be
50 feet instead of 40 feet. In
order to cover the same par-cels
of land already set at 40
ft,, the Board changed the
language of the law which
will now state, individuals
who have single and separ-ate
ownership of land par-cels
40 feet or more prior to
the new law adopted on
August 4, 1986 will be
allowed to use the "grand-father
clause" in their rights
so as not to impose any
hardships on the owners.

ERHS Alumni Association Report
By Mildred Roemer
This dainty, little lady in
her white embroidered 1900
dress, was " L i t t l e " Lily
White, sister of Walter
White and aunt of trustee
Arnold White. She lived in
the White's home on Front
Street.
When Lily was a toddler,
she was playing in a field
when she was trampled by a
number of geese. This
caused her slow growth and
Arnold White stated that
she was less than four feet
tall. We've heard how mean
geese can be and this was
indeed a tragic event but, as
one may note from this pic-ture,
the family treated Lily
with tender, loving care and
she lived to adulthood.
