It's a girl! Alexandra Dlllworth is the 2010 Baby of the Year

She's sugar and spice and everything nice.
Her name is Alexandra Dillworth and she is The Leader's 2010 Baby of the Year. Alexandra was bom on January 9 at 11:40 a.m. at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
"She was right on time," said her father Richard Dillworth, who explained that "everything was planned and it all went very smoothly."
Alexandra Dillworth is the first child of Richard Dillworth and his fiance Ana Luisa Siqueira. They live in Freeport. He has been a resident of Freeport since 1987 where he practices law on South Main Street. He is also the owner of Rick's Marina and the Atlantic Yacht

Haven. Ana Luisa is the Managing Director of Production with Ralph Lauren in Manhattan. "We love living here," said Mr. Dillworth.
While the happy couple resides in Freeport, other family came from far and wide to welcome this baby girl into the world. Ana Luisa is from Brazil and her parents arrived in New Yoik on New Year's Day for this auspicious occasion.
"They have four grandsons, but this is their first granddaughter," explained Mr. Dillworth.
Alexandra is also the only granddaughter on Mr. Dillworth's side "My dad is 92 years old and he is just thrilled," said Mr. Dillworth, who added that the baby "looks like me. She has a fiill head of brown hair with these light streaks and her eyes are still blue. Everyone was sur-

prised except my dad."
At birth Alexandra weighed 6.8S • pounds and was 20 inches long. "Now she's a little over 7 pounds. She is eating every three hours and sleeps between feedings," said Dad. "We do the night feedings together," he said with pride. "I'm the one who bathes her."
Alexandra is "smiling all the time and she makes a lot of eye contact," said Mr. Dillworth.
Ms. Siqueira added that the baby is strong "enough to lift her head off my chest and has a very strong grip."
All in all this has been an experience of a Ufetime for the Dillworth-Siqueira family.
"My friends tried to tell me what this would be like, but there isn't anything you can say to prepare someone for this experience and the way I feel," said Mr.

Dillworth. "She broke the mold. She is my New Year's bonus," he gushed.
Congratulations to the Dillworth-Siqueira family on the birth of their child and to all the other families in Freeport and Baldwin who have new babies.
As First Baby of the Year, little Alexandra and her family will win the following prizes.
The First Baby of the Year prizes include a $25 gift certificate for the parents of the first baby from Piccolo Pizza; a $25 gift certificate from Applebee's; a bottle of champagne for Mom from Atlantic Bayview Wines and Liquor; a blooming gift basket from Atlantic Nursery; a $25 gift certificate from Vicente Jewelers and a one-year gift subscription from The Freeport Baldwin Leader.
