He is daddy's little man. Jayden James Duran, "The Leader's 2008 Baby of the Year will turn one year old this week. He was born on January 5, 2008, at 6:27 p.m. at Mercy Hospital.
The proud parents are Rosanny Gomez and James Duran of Freeport. Both mom and dad are lifelong Freeporters. At birth, Jayden was six pounds but is now almost "25 pounds and is just about to walk," said Jayden's mom, Rosanny Gomez, who added that her son loves to eat "rice and beans and the Gerber bananas."

Jayden is the spitting image of his father, James Duran. "He is still [my husband's] little mini me," said Ms. Gomez.
"And, Jayden is very attached to his father and grandfather. Jayden also loves to cuddle with his dad and he is beginning to talk. Jayden likes to say 'Da, da' all the time!"
Even though Jayden is Daddy's boy, he's still very friendly and outgoing. "He's very happy, even when he wakes up^ And, he's not scared of anything," said Ms. Gomez. "Jayden . loves to play with his teddy bears, with Elmo and Clifford the Dog."
