The Middies are coming!
ANTICIPATED VISIT: Scenes from 2007's visit by the Annapolis Sailing Squadron. The Village of Freeport will welcome the annual visit of the sail training; squadron from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis from Friday, August 8, to Tuesday, August 12. Six sailboats will be docked at the Esplanade on Woodcleft Avenue. The midshipmen will be available from Saturday, August 9,' through Monday, August 11, from noon to 4 p.m.- for tours aboard the sailboats. See page 16 for more.
