Freeport Hudson Anglers 36th Annual Shark Tournament
fc
by Jack Healy
The Freeport Hudson .Anglers 36th Annual Shark Tournament was held on Saturday, June 21, at the Guy Lombardo Marina Freeport. This year a 414-pound shark was judged to be the largest shark weighed in at the Town of Hempstead Guy Lombardo Marina as the close of the Tournament. Last year a 368-pound shark won the tournament.
Dave Gross of the Freeport Hudson Anglers was this, year's Tournament Du-ector.
With the money from all the boats entered, the money is
used to take 30 to 40 children out fishing who have never
had the joy of fishing before. Also all the meat from the
sharks goes to good causes to feed those who need it most.
- Kevin Madigan of Freeport, age 16
