A GOOD MEAL FOR A GOOD CAUSE was had by all at the recent "A Taste of Freeport" fundraiser at the Recreation Center. Among-those helping to make the event successful were Bedell's at West Wind (left) and Polio Campero.
Be. sure to write to us about that special mother in Freeport or Baldwin who will be awarded several prizes from our local merchants.
All nominating letters for The Leader's Mother of the Year Contest must be in our office by Thursday, May 1,. at noon. Nominees must be Freeport or Baldwin residents.

IT'S ELECTRIC: Mark Wood, composen inventor and string master of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, visited Brookside School last week to present his "Electrify Your Strings" program. Students in grades 2-5 were able to experience the exciting world of nriusical instruments through his perforrriance and discussion.
