Joe Kralovich, president of the Lindenrriere Homeowners Association, isn't happy about the proposed project to build 40 wind turbines in the waters off of Jones Beach.
Mr. Kralovich told a small group of people who attended the meeting at Kennedy High School in Bellmore last month, that "they are intending to industrialize our waters. These plants are 440-feet tail and will include a four-story high offshore substation. People don't realize that the wind mills still need to use diesel, 1,400 gallons of diesel. We-need to stop and think about the impact of this project. There are too many unanswered questions. We need all the facts. The review process hasn't begun and we want to insure that there will be a full environmental impact statement."
