Chess Club
The Chess Club meets every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Bring your chess set or use one of ours and play with other enthusiasts. Free beginner instruction available. Seniors welcome. Under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Call adult Reference at 223-6228 for more information.
Teen Craft Program
The Young Adult Department of the Baldwin Public Library invites teens in Grades 6-12 to register for a teen craft program, where they will make their own Personalized ir Painted Mug on Thursday, January 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Registration for this program begins at the Young Adult Desk on January 4. One-man show
On Sunday, January 21 at 2 p.m. enjoy this fascinating autobiographical one-man show in which actor and playwright Stephen "Axe" Axelrod plays a third-generation delivery truck driver for a familiar New York tabloid.
His quest for identity clashed with his father, a devout Jew struggling with his own Queens blue-collar existence. Mr. Axelrod's television, and film credits include a recurring role in "Law and Order" as Detective Catalano and as Sol in the HBO series " Everyday People." Free tickets will be available Thursday, January 4, at the Adult Reference Desk, with a limit of four tickets per person.

Greeting cards
