More than a dozen teams of approximately 20 members each competed in the Richard T. Muldowney, Jr., Old Fashioned Tournament and Drill on Sunday, August 28.
The event was organized by the Freeport Fire Department to honor Ex-Captain Muldowney, a member of both the village's volunteer department and the New York City Fire Department.

DODD MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL JOHN O'MARD explains a program schedule to entering students at the Dodd Middle School orientation. He said a record number of parents and students - more than 500 - turned out for the orientation meeting.
