meeting called by the
prospective developers of

'was scheduled for the next
evening (Tuesday, July 7)
at West Wind Yacht Club.
The developers, Darren
•Equities, is proposing to
•build condominium.'. units
at the site of the Vacht
Club, now ' vacant except

on the west side of
South Main Street across

the Village of Freeport,

Town zoning.
Maycir Storm responded
to Mr. Iskob' questions by
noting that 'regretfully,'
Darren Realties (a/k/a
Monte) had not contacted
the village authorities
about the meeting, al-do
so.
Many residents, however,
had told the mayor
about the meeting, for
which Darren had distributed
circulars.'
Mr. Iskols asked if, under
the water cap, Darren
could build a condominium.
Mrs. Storm responded
that he - apparently
had already
•greatly reduced" the proposed
number of condo
units from 100 units to
80, and then to 11 per
acre, as he heard of opposition
to the development
from residents.
According ' to Mrs.
Storm, Darren Reality had .
also promised to retain a
marina at the site. .
The mayor said she
Would attend the meeting
