The Board discussed a memorandum
from the Superintendent
of Buildings recommending .updating
various fees to match those
of the Town of North Hempstead.
The board agreed with the higher
fees but, upon the advice of
village Oetk Tom DeVincenro,
did not vole on them. Instead,
Village Counsel was directed to
prepare an amendment to the VD-lage
Code giving the Board of

Settlement In Firing Case
FREEPORT - An'out-of court,
settlement -has resulted in an,
ex-plumbing inspector for the
Village of Freeport and his lawyers
getting $37,000 in back pay -
and leeai fees.'
Joseph Petrozza, who is still a
Freeport resident, claimed he was
fired in August, 1984^ finm his
job in Jhe village's Building department
because he was friendly
with a p<ditical opponent to the
village administration.
Petrozza, who is now serioc'
building inspector in Westbniy,
says he was sever involved in

Petrozza's dismissal was recommended

"exemplairy community service." Present at the ceremony In the Free-port
Memorial Ubrary were State Senator Norman J. Levy (r.), Kendall
Lampkin (2nd r.) and Freeport Village Mayor Dorothy Storm 0-), who
' presented Mrs. Oorman with a Villags Proclamation. Mrs. Dorrrvan has
\ been a fotig-term.tenants' advocate and president ot'lhe Freeport
