FREEPORT - Under the direction of Chief Lesur Fieldsa. the Free-poii
Fire De^anment continues to capture summertime parade championships
as it represents the VilUge in various, competitive parades
on Long Island.
The department's most recent victory included a first-place bett-appearing
award in the Hicls-

BAIDWIN - Students in the Baldwin schools received 54 Presidential,
78 Merit and 208 Achievement Awards, when tested during
National Physical Fitness Month.
The Baldwin Physical Edocation staff tested all the students, fourth
through eighth grades, on the National Youth Physicsl Fitness Test.
Each student completed a six-part test, which included sit-ups, shutile
run, standing long jump, 50-yard _

ordered for pleading.
Also failing to appear in court

had received a summons for playing
a stereo radio at an excessive
level in a Mall parking lot.
A warrant is also out for
George Johnson of 45 Broadway,
Freeport, who pleaded guilty lo
drinking an alcoholic beverage in
the parting lot of his apartment
building in violation of the
VUlage's open container law.
He failed lo pay his $25 fine within
the three weeks alloUed.
Because of h'ls failure lo pay a
$40 fine, a warrant is out for
Louis Jackson of 72 Lillian
Avenue. He received a summons
for operating a taxi without a
Village taxi license.
