BALDWIN - As of Monday, August 30, DO settlement had yet been
reached tn the contract oefotiations between the Baldwin School
District and the Teachers' Union. District spokesperson Janet Neiman,
said that several ncedngs have taken place with the PERB mediator
present. Ms. Neiroan added that school win open as scheduled.

Friday afternoon, August 27,

second degree burglary.
The afternoon "game" started
when Freeport Police Officers
Anthony Giordano and Steven
Yodice. responded to an anonymous
telephone call of a burglary
in progress at a home oti Ocean
Coo^ in Freeport.
Tbiere the two officers found a
rear window opened and so,

Mark VTittich, they searched
the boose and reportedly foond

The suspects were identified

FREEPORT • In two pnblic bearings Monday evening. August 30,
tbe ViUage Board of Trustees rezoned some property on Hanse Avenne
from Industrial to Industrial B, atul reconsidered the establishment of a
special assessment district for expanded parking for tlie Freeport Mall.
The Board was sitting as a frill five person board for tbe'first time
since early April, when Trustee
