as a result of bums and woonds
-apparently received when an
cnergy.saving device in her fireplace
exploded.
As reported by the Nassau
County Pol'ice Department,
Annette Deppert was attempting
xo stoke her fireplace in her home
on Hastings Parirway, at aboat
I0-.50 pm Tuesday. January 12.
According to police and fire
department sources, the device
— which is ttported to have been
installed in 1978 — apparently
exploded and threw Mrs. Deppert
across the living room.
Hearing the noise, the other

Board of Trustees has approved '
Freepott't 1982-83 munidpal
budget of $15,476,710 — wMdl

valuation tax increase for village
property owners. All fotir
