FREEPORT - In a"3-l vote, the Village board of trustees voted itself
its first "pay" raise in seven years. Monday night's board meeting and
public hearing were attended by approximately two dozen people.
Several spoke against the proposed increase; others in favor, while
most remained silent and listened.
