an increase (n allocated histir-ance,

Tlie Board voted 4-1 ta adopt

Jordan voted no, claiming that
"the bodg^ does not lepiesent
the best i^^^oald-pat forward.;.!
think substantial cats could be
made - i n - four ; other
areas,", he said, "so we would
not have any increase."
Jordan itemized those areas
where he suggested cuts: the
Saaitatioo DepaiUpeat, Parks,
munidpalities are now dofaig it.
Three employees could be eliminated
from the budget. Jotxlan
claimed, and using the maintenance
people as security is
not the "kind of security we
need.'? ,
Salaries to aQ commis^on
members, except tbme serving
on the Zoning Board of Appeals,
should be eliminated,. Jordan
said, saving another $14,000.
