will be given the opportunity -to
honor the return of Captairi Peter
Csrllafhan" with a mass
celebration on the Village Green,
south of-the Village Hall on North'
Ocean Avenue.
Plans to organize- the
celebration are rapidly taking
form. The organizations and
individual's contacted jiavc
responded with great enthusiasm,
which is typical of
Ifreeport, jo take part in the
ceremonies of the celebration.
Paul Callaghanrthe Captain's
father announced that his son will
be in Freeport at noon April 14^
which is the time and date for the
celebration. ; -
. Captain Callaghan attended
Holy Redeemer School, Freeport
also^Brooklyn Prep, and <;om-pleted
his education ati Wheeling
College In-West Virginia.
He married Anabelle Foley of
Bellrnbre in Sept. 1971. They'have
a baby daughter, Coleen.
Captain Callaghan was shot
down and captured in Viet Nam
June 21, 1972, • _
