Vfflagti's major arteries has been the subject of hot debate
for several wieeks-
The height limit for apartments has been reduced from
the 6 stories proposed by Planning Consultant James
Dunne, to 4H stories. The density has also been reduced
from 50 apartment units per acre to 44 units. The 454-
story lunit conforms with many of the present apartments
in the Village which were buUt from 1958 to 1962, before
the restriction which heretofore called for a 2^-story
maximum.
The Village Board vote on the rezoning was 4 to I, with
Mayor Sweeney. Deputy Mayor William White, Trustee

will refuvenate North Main Street and enhance the entire
Village."
