annivensary of his popular column.
Mr. Bums, a niative Preeporler, is a noted hak-stylist by profession

service organization of which he is a vice-preadent.

Two Freeport High Scliool students, Nancy Schade and Norma
Gatbo, presented their prize-winning speeches to an enthuaiDstic
audience at the High School auditorium on Tuesday, Dec, 5.
Nancy Schade, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harold Schnde of M S.
Long Beach Avenue, was judged the flrst-plnco winner and received
0 medal and a one hundred dollar

Legion.
Nancy, an lUh grader, presented
an'imaginary letter from a
soldier in Vietnam to his son. The
soldier wrote, in port, "Never take
