of the left eyebrow when
he ti'ied to help Cobbs during the
fight.
Clifford Smith told police that
an argument started between
Cobbs and" two other mwi in the
rcai'.ot the building. He said he
went tn help Cobbx and he was
hit tiy a boAtle.
The fight advanced into the
street. Smith said, and a passerby,
James Smith, joined in the

away in a late model car.
The two men and Cliffflrd
Smith were taken to Doctors Hospital,
where Cobbs underwent
surgery, and is listed in critical
condition.
Jamw Smith was reported to
satisfactory condition, and Clif-
Jord Smith was treated and re
leased. Police say that Cobte
condition is improving.

the curb, and halted to a stop

The three youngsters, two of
whom are 12 yeara of age, and
the other 11, were turned oyer
to their parents for appearance
in Family Court, Their names are
being withheld because ot their
ages.

Doberman Pinscher
Dog Show April 30
The L.I. Doberman Pinscher
Breeders and Panders Assn., will
hold Its annual matc'h show at the
Rockvilte Centre Reci-cation Hall
on April 30 at 7;30 p.ra.
In addition to the usual Doberman
iudging, there will be a
demonstration of a guldc-dog
working with a Wind person.
There -will also be a demonstration
of attack iogs by the Suffolk
County PoUce Dcpt., and this
year's show wiU feature a special
prize award for guests.
A portion of the proceeds trom
the show and award will be donated
to the Guide Dog Foundation
for the Blind.
The Veterans organisations of Nassau CounlyjConslMing of The
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Americtrri Legion, Marine Corps League,
United Spanish War Veterans, Catholic War Veterans, Jewish Wai*
Veterans and Polish Legion American Veterans, have asjain united
to conduct the Fouith Annual Nassau Loyalty Day Parade.
The date has been set for Sunday,

The parade will form in the
vicinity of the American Legion

to Kennedy Memorial Park in
Hempstead, where brief ceremonies

Assembly time for the parade
is 2 p.m., nnd the FIr.'il Division
will step off promptly at 2:30 p.m.
