Sam Boone of Preeport, National A.A.U. Champion in the 138-lb.
Greco-Roman wrestling class, will be able to participate in the_
International Olympics to be held in Tokyo. Japan next week,
thanks to the Nassau County Hepublican organization.
The young Freeport athlete was heartbroken on Tuesday night

and medical approval which
he was originally denied.
A team of two prominent physicians,
associated with Doctors
Hospital, conducted a two-wcpks
scries of close examinations and
on Tuesday. Sep!. 29, gave full
approval for Som Boone's participation

Snm Boone is considered one,
ol the flnest Olympic Team athle*
tcs in America. His Olympic vlc-orics
would not only bring international
fame to Nassau County
and Freeport, but also to the
entire United States.'
He lives with his wife and two
children at 346 North Columbus
Ave., Freeport, and has been a
resident hero for 10 years. Theif

Olympic contests.

• The final winners of the Booster and Incentive Campaign of
Freeport Little League for the 1884 season have been announced by
Thomas J. Lovelidge, League Treasurer and Campaign Chairman.
In all, about 75 Little Leaguers were the.recipients of various
prizes, ranging, according to the number of. boosters each was able
to dispose of. The ' Special Prize
for the most boosters disposed
was a Schwinn Bicycle and the
other prizes were a Eadio Clock;
a, transistor radio; tape recorders;
