Samuel V. Weekes, veteran Free-port
resident of 146 Washburn
Ave., pas.sed away at 3:30 A.M. on
Wednesday, May 10, 1981. He was
60 years old.

field.
He is survived by his wife, Helen,
and by his daughter, Dorothy. Funeral
arrangements are handled by
the Pulton Funeral Home on West
Merrick Rd. Services wlU be lield on
Friday afternoon.

The pageant, sponsored by the Nassau County Junior C'liarobcr of
CoDJinerce In cooperation with the Freeport <;h»nil»iT of Coinmerfc
will be iielfl on Satiirday, May ;20 at 8 p.m, at the Freeporl i>enior
High School.
The Freeport Chamber of Commcrrr has established a four hundred
dollar scholarship lund to be awarded to the winner and firsl
and second runners up. Additional xrhuinrship awards are made at
the state pageant.
"Miss Nassau," "Miss New York h'tale" and "Miss America" is not
simply the most beautiful, but Ihr girl with talent and ambition lu
match her God-given beauty. It is felt thai making it possible for a
Nassau girl to forward her ambition and pursue her chosen career is
the finest recognition that one can give their County's Queen.
The finalists, representing many villages are pictured above (left
