On Monday, May 31 Bethpage
residents came out in full force to be a
part of this year Memorial Day Parade
and Services.
Many community groups and
organizations came out to be a part of
this special day and salute the brave
men and women who sacrificed so
much for our freedom. Veterans
groups, elected officials, school
groups, marching bands, community
groups and children of all ages parad-ed
down Stewart Avenue in true style
as too did the members of the
Bethpage Fire Department.
What was so nice to see, this year,
was the hundreds of children who par-ticipated
and marched with their
respective teams and organizations.
A ceremony was held at the com-munity
park which included the plac-ing
of memorial wreaths as well as a
21 gun salute in honor of all those
who served our Country. We can
never forget them...we can never
repay them...we must always honor
them. God Bless our Veterans and this
