GOOD LUCK: Oyster Bay Town Coancilman Salva tore
Mosca snips a success ribbon at the opening of The
Total Corner,-a clothing shop catering to the latest in
fashions, which opened recently at 355 Broadway,
Bethpage. Dave Kochner, left, president of the shop
and Niles Karstensen, secretary-treasurer, help in the
chores. TOTAL LOOK: Oyster Bay Town Councilman
Salvatore Mosca, gets the soft sell from Sett Boyar-skey,
an employee of "The Total Corner" 355 Broadway,
Bethpage, a recently-opened clothing shop
catering to the latest in styles.
County Executive Ralph G. Caso, who has proclaimed
September as Breath of Life Month in Nassau, proudly
introduces four-months-old Erica Doscher, 1971 poster
child for monthlong fund campaign sponsored by the
Nassau County Chapter, National Cystic Fibrosis
Research Foundation. Beaming approval is Erica's
mother, Mrs. Cheryl Doscher of Hempstead. Proceeds
of annual fund drive are used to continue research and
treatment of cyctic fibrosis, major life-threatening
cause of lung disease in babies and children. County
chapter headquarters are at 175 Fulton Ave., Hempstead.
Hempstead has been
appointed Acting Manager
of Hempstead Bank's Old
Bethpage Office.
Mr. Webster joined
Hempstead Bank in
February of 1967 as a note
teller. He became
Assistant Manager of
Hempstead Bank's
Downtown Office in
February of 1970.
A graduate of the
American Institute of
Banking, Mr. Webster and
bis wife, Karen, are the
parents of two daughters.

MUSIC FAIR
High school students, our scientists of tomorrow, are
shown learning research techniques and methodology
at the Waldemar Medical Research Foundation of
Woodbury, New York. High ABILITY STUDENTS
ARE GIVEN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE Waldemar
Summer Research Participation Program now in its
eighteenth year, which has been consistently supported
by the -National Science Foundation. The findings
made by the students during the past eight
weeks, will be reported at the culminating scientific
session to be held on August 20, 1971, in the cancer
research institute's auditorium. Shown above are: left
to right, Ronald T. Zellem of Plainview, attending
Chaminade High School, Judy D. French of Plainview,
attending Plainview-Old Bethpage High School, and
Stephanie K. Berger of Plainview, attending John F.
Kennedy High School.
