Nassau County Executive Thomas S. Gulotta, (right), and Vice President
Dan Quayle, (center), and U.S. Congressman Raymond McGrath, join with
troops who returned from Operation Desert Storm to officially begin the
1991 Victory Games at Mitchel Park. The Victory Games provide athletic
competitions for over 2,000 disabled athletes from all parts of the country.
Joining Gulotta, Quayle and McGrath were the following troops; Sergeant
Charles Chaney, Sr.; Bruce P. Jamison, Jr.; James C. Kernan, Jr.; Elaine
Dudinoki; Edward J. Murphy; Diane Jones; Captain Tom Martino; Gilda
Gross; Linus Klapproth; Captain Pattie McEleveen.

Island Water Conference's recent 40th
anniversary celebration.
Bethpage Water District is a
member of the Water Conference, a
regional association of water supply
professionals that has been dedicated
to providing and maintaining an
adequate and safe water supply
system for four decades.
Among its many missions, the
Conference has been particularly
concerned with the implementation of
water con.servation and prcscr\alioii
programs. Moreover, it has been
committed to keeping water utility
personnel apprised of the latest
innovations in water supply, treatment
and maintenance technology as
well as new improvements in plant
service and safety methods.
In addition to Long Island's public
and private water suppliers, the
Conference's membership consists of
consulting engineers, attorneys,
manufacturers and contractors associated
with water supply, and officials
of various governmental regulatory
agencies.
