FIRST ANNUAL PANCAKE
BREAKFAST RAISES $900
FOR BETHPAGE'S NEEDY
Sunday, November 18 marked the
First Annual Pancake Breakfast
sponsored by Bretton's Deli. This food
extravaganza will benefit the Bretton's
Benefit Football Game which is
scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 9 at
the High School.
The Charity Breakfast was held at
St. Martin of Tours Church and raised
an impressive $900 for the needy
families of Bethpage. Thanks to all
those hungry pancake lovers who
participated in this event and also to
all those who worked so hard on
Sunday to insure the Breakfasts
success.
As the Third Annual Benefit Football
Game draws closer, we remind you
to get involved in this worthy event.
The Holiday Season for most is a
happy special time, but for those less
fortunate the days ahead may only
prove to be a sad reminder of what
they will have to do without. This
game provides many Bethpage families
with a hearty meal, a warm coat,
or perhaps that toy which is wanted
so badly by a sick child. In its first
year Gary Bretton's Fantastic Fundraiser
raised $3100 and last year
raised a whopping $10,000. So lets
keep that momentum going and help
the Bretton's reach their goal of
$15,000. Its not easy but then again
nothing truly worthwhile ever is.
Donations can be made payable to the
Bethpage PAL and mailed to 359
Broadway, Bethpage 11714.
