Every once in a while we hear or read something that touches our heart. We
received this letter in the mail and couldn't help but feel that Jerry Johnson's
thoughts summed up the true meaning of Valentine's Day, There is no greater
gift than love—unfortunately sometimes it takes not having it to realize it

Dear Editor,
I'm writing to you in my time of nesd^ in hope^tha^ you can^ find it
in your heart to publish my letter in your paper so someone can see it
and write to me.
I was born in Bethpage and lived there until I was 7. Mom and Daxi
died in an automobile accident when I was 14, and I was in and out
of foster homes until I was 18, I am now incarcerated in prison for drugs
and I have never felt this hind of lonliness before, I don't have anyone
to write or come and see me, I am not a bad person just because I am
in here. Everyone makes mistakes and I have made mine, but Tm letting
my past teach me so I can be a better person in the days to come, I would
love to correspond with anyone as a pen pal that wants a friend to share
a smile from time to time,Tm a 24 year old white male but lonliness
picks no certain person so anyone can write me.
Editor, even if you can't help me I want to wish all of you the two
greatest gifts of all. Someone to love, and someone to love you.
