TRAGEDY PROMPTS
BENEFIT SOFTBALL GAME
Tragedy and heartship can strike a family at any time and there probably
is no better family than the Cagnoni family to attest to this. Richard and
Nina Cagnoni, who are both employees of Jacques Caterers, have certainly
had their share of pain and grief.
There daughter, Dayna, who is five years old has been in and out of hospitals
her entire life. She has had numerous heart operations and just recently has
lost her hearing. That alone is a difficult and painful situation to bear, but
the loss of their nine year old son, Richard to meningitis on July 12, has
truly taken its toll on the family.
The Cagnoni's have had many individuals and orgaizations help them in
getting through these difficult times, such as the Ronald McDonald House,
who during their daughters numerous hospitalizations and operations, enabled
them to be with her in a time when their presence was immeasurable.
That is why Jacques Caterers and Bretton's Deli have joined forces in
sponsoring a benefit softball game to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald
House in the name of Richard Cagnoni, Jr. Their goal is to raise $1000, which
would allow Richard's name to appear on one of the gold leaves displayed
at the McDonald facility.
The Bethpage Tribune urges all its readers to participate in this worthy
and important fundraiser. Your participation and or donations will enable
the Cagnoni family and other families like them endure in situations when
it would be much easier to give up.
Your donations to the Ronald McDonald House can help ease the pain
of many families and perhaps even in your own family when tragedy strikes.
All donations can be mailed or brought to Jacques Caterers at 272 Broadway
or Bretton's Deli at 359 Broadway and checks should be made payable to
the Ronald McDonald House. jmmjMRosvs.
